To become a God! Skyforge gives players the opportunity to walk the hero’s path – from new born immortal, to mighty champion, to becoming a god themselves capable of standing toe-to-toe with other major gods. Fight and gain power to protect the world under constant threat of attack. Gather a group of loyal followers to increase your powers and become the best among Aelion protectors!
Skyforge takes place on a planet named Aelion and players will have access to numerous regions on its surface. There are large open locations, and there are smaller instances. We decided not to make the world seamless for gameplay reasons, but we aren't going to deny players a sense of traveling and exploring.
By giving players a mix of areas in various sizes, Skyforge allows players with limited time to tackle a smaller adventure, while those with hours to spend can explore the MMO's more expansive regions.
Skyforge is free-to-play!
In Skyforge you can easily participate in various PvE and PvP activities. PvP fans can partake in both small-scale events and massive battles.
What is the difference between talent and say, level?
Just like in PvE, participating in PvP directly affects the development of the player's character, their equipment, characteristics, etc. Players are encouraged to progress in whichever mode(s) they enjoy most, as both PvE and PvP offers players similar rewards and prestige points.
Additional information on PvP can be found in our PvP In Skyforge Article.
Yes, Skyforge features large-scale guild battles called Pantheon Wars. Pantheon's (Skyforge's take on Guilds) participate in 100v100 player battles which are split between 50v50 PvP and PvE scenarios.
Additional information on Pantheon Wars can be found through our Developer Diary V: Pantheon Wars
Although Skyforge mainly focuses on players performing godly deeds, the MMO does feature crafting; both personally and through improving your followers via your personal Orders. The Divine Form Specialization, God of Knowledge, is capable of using the faith of their followers to create items.Additional information on crafting in Skyforge will be released in the future.
Yes! If, for any reason, you need assistance with getting to your next objective you can hover your cursor over the objective marker and hit "Space Bar" to begin automatically navigating towards it. Additionally, you can auto-run in a single direction by pressing the "Num Lock" key.
Skyforge is host to a variety of group content such as Squad(1-3) or Group(5) Adventures, Raids, Invasions, Distortions, Anonamlies, and Pantheon Wars.

Skyforge is an action-combat oriented MMO. The combat design is inspired by the top features of the best action and fighting games. Skyforge's over the top combat visuals and mouse look control, with optional direct targeting, enables players to deal breathtaking combo strikes, devastating finishing attacks and show off their larger than life powers. You will dive into dynamic battles, both entertaining and satisfying!
Although a player's character starts off as immortal, gaining power through divine acts and earning prestige can propel them to divine-hood, allowing them to become gods capable of much more than mere immortals.
Once an immortal has assumed their divine form, they'll grow in size and take on a unique physical appearance which they have chosen. Beyond their looks, a character's god form is also much stronger, possessing additional power, along with resistances to damage and crowd control. They can even create physical objects, including equipment!
Through choices made in the Ascension Atlas, players may tailor their god's special abilities to suit the situation. While in their divine form, players can even switch between classes in combat. Additional Information can be found here: Unlocking the power of your Divine Form
Perched high above the clouds, the Divine Observatory acts as a central hub used by a player's immortal character to monitor and react to the cries for help from mortals across Aelion. Through the Divine Observatory, players are able to choose from dozens of unique adventures spanning the entire globe.
For every plea a player responds to through the Observatory, their good deeds will be rewarded with increased power, resources and the ongoing adoration of those they've aided. Every 40 minutes, the Divine Observatory updates to show the latest changes and active “hot-spots” available to players. These available adventures vary in size, allowing players to choose the content that best suits them at that moment.
As a player's prestige grows, additional adventures will automatically become available; offering players a variety of new rewards upon completion. Many of these rewards can then be used to purchase character skills and talents, unlock new classes and buy cosmetic outfits.
As an immortal in Skyforge no good deed goes unnoticed. As players answer the calls for help from mortals through the Divine Observatory, they'll gain followers whose worship contributes towards their total power.
Certain special followers will even perform deeds in your name. Called adepts, these heroes come with a variety of professions which allow a player to send them out into the world of Aelion to perform special tasks on behalf of them. These tasks range from cleansing a plagued area to fending off invading Outlaws.
Doing so will reward the player with special items, earn experience for that adept and increase the overall number of followers a player has in the affected area.
The Ascension Atlas is what ties all of Skyforge's character progression together. Comprised of a vast network of nodes, the Ascension Atlas gives a player the flexibility needed to develop their character in a myriad of ways depending on their preferred playstyle. From the start, players are able to easily navigate the Ascension Atlas in order to read each node and plan their character's progression path accordingly.
Using the Ascension Atlas, players can spend points earned to unlock new skills, talents and individual stats. Alternatively, they may choose to work towards an entirely new class, thanks to Skyforge's flexible class system.
When unlocked, the upper progression level found within the Ascension Atlas allows players to earn special perks or entirely new classes. Unlocking a new class node allows a player to freely swap to that class while out of combat and still retain their character's global progress. The player can then proceed to work on their newly unlocked class without having to start over with a new character.
Impulse Damage is an intermittent damage bonus which can be activated by certain skills. Your Impulse Charge meter, which is represented by a Lightning symbol, can be found next to your health bar and will recharge after each use.
Finishers are devastating attacks which can be performed only when enemies reach a small amount of health.
Every class in Skyforge has their own unique Battle Resource which are required to perform your powerful skills and abilities. How classes use and attain this resource vary, but using basic attacks will allow you to recharge this resource during combat and it will be restored over time while not engaged. Certain classes do not regenerate out of combat, however. The Berserker, for example, will only reach half their maximum Rage outside of combat.
Players can be invited to your group in a few ways. If the other player is on your friends list, you can press (Y) and select their name and invite. You may also select players from the "Vicinity" list as well for this method. For players that are nearby, you can highlight them and press (G) to open the interaction menu.
Regions (Open World Maps) in Skyforge can be quite large, taking many hours to explore. To speed this along, you can unlock terminals throughout the map by merely walking up to them. These act as both a method of teleportation and a recovery point for fallen Immortals. Unlocked terminals can be teleported to by opening your map (M) and clicking your choosing the one you would like to travel to for a modest amount of in-game currency.
All enemies display an icon that indicates their role in combat.
Three rhombus - "Swarm" These are weak enemies that most commonly attack in large packs. While not much of a threat individually, they can quickly overpower players if not slain.
Sword - "Damage Dealer" These enemies deal high amounts of damage and possess very strong attacks.
Shield - "Tank" Possessing larger health pools while not causing significant damage, it's best to avoid these until last.
Eye - "Controller" Monsters with impeding abilities (crowd control). They should be carefully monitored, avoided, or immediately killed.
When adventuring through the vast open Regions of Aelion, you will come across many quests. To begin a quest, merely travel into the colored area of the map and you will be updated with any requirements. Progress made on a quest will remain even if you leave the area, allowing you to go through at your own pace or come back later.
By pressing (M) to bring up your map, you can hover over each quest area to view the reward provided.
Players are capable of switching classes at any time while out of combat. This can be accomplished by opening the menu (I), selecting your desired class, and clicking "Change Class".
Skyforge features a huge variety of game classes that will impress even the most sophisticated gamers. In addition, you may easily change your class with just one click! Skyforge lets players master different roles, develop and play any class you like with a single character.
At launch, Skyforge will have [13 available classes]http://sf.my.com/us/about/classes) and will continue to release new classes as the game advances.
No, players can play any of Skyforge's classes as either a male or female character.
Skyforge does not feature a direct healing class. Instead, players are able to enjoy aiding their allies in battle by playing as one of several support classes. Healing during combat is primarily achieved by collecting health orbs from fallen enemies or by using healing items.
Skyforge has extensive character customization. This includes, but is not limited to, changing your physical appearance and freely swapping between numerous customizable costumes.
Skyforge has a unique non-level-based development system. This system is deep enough to allow players to create a truly unique character. Talents and abilities are unlocked in the Ascension Atlas which provides a multitude of ways to grow in power and customize your character. Your personal Order is expanded and allows increasing stats that best suit your play style.
As players progress in Skyforge they'll earn Prestige which is used to measure their character's ongoing power growth. Prestige is earned by players as they unlock new nodes in their Ascension Atlas, acquire better equipment and gain higher progress in their Order.
As a player increases their prestige new Regions and Adventures will become available in the Divine Observatory, each presenting a new challenge to undertake.
The best equipment in-game is obtained from bosses. However, the equipment only contributes a third of the character's overall prestige. Players also need to progress through the Ascension Atlas and win the faith of their followers to become even more powerful.
Equipment in Skyforge consists of 4 Rings, Primary and Offhand equipment, 4 Amulets, and 2 Trophies. Each one of these comes in various qualities and stat variations.
Rings and Trophies will remain consistent when switching classes while the Primary, Offhand, and Amulets are class specific and will be retained to that classes load out.
Additional classes in Skyforge are unlocked by progressing through the "Upper" Ascension Atlas. Player's may unlock the "Upper" Ascension Atlas by reaching the "Extended Atlas" in any of the three Starter Classes (Paladin, Cryomancer, Lightbinder & Bersker/Gunner for Founder's Pack Owners). The start of the Extended Atlas is marked by a node called "Path of the BLANK" with blank being the respective class name. Upon reaching this node you will then be able to start spending Sparks of Insights, to reach additional classes, starting at either the Paladin, Cryomancer, or Lightbinder node regardless of which class you reached the Upper Atlas using. When you reach a classes nodes, then you may unlock it and begin playing as that class.
In the Ascension Atlas, nodes that require Sparks of Destruction (Red) and Sparks of Creation (Green) increase your proficiency. To view what else these or other nodes award you, hover your cursor over them.
